Need Help with Battery Replacement

Hi All,

Our battery is no long maintaining a charge. The battery is the original battery provided by the dealership when we bought the trailer new and we're on our 4 season with it. So I'm figuring it's time to buy a new battery and I'm looking for some help and suggestions from all the great people here.

We never boondock, so I'm thinking 2 - 6v batteries is overkill.

Our battery compartment is 12.5" wide and 7" deep and I'm not sure if there's enough room for a Group 27 battery.

Initially, I'm looking at the EverStart Maxx 24DC Marine/RV Deep Cycle Battery from Walmart.

Anyone have comments / experience with this battery or suggestions for other batteries I should consider.

As always any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The standard size 24 Marine/RV battery will be just fine since you do not do any dry camping. A size 24 will get you through a cool night with the heat if you do a Walmart overnighter. (2) 6 volt batteries would be an overkill.

The old battery did pretty good.

Just replaced my group 24 battery with a group 27 battery. The 27 case is not very expensive and can be mounted with self tapping screws.
Consider a battery switch at the same time.
