Need to find nearest Jayco dealer

We are "stuck" near York, Ne.- The main slide will not come in to the travel position- The slide has 2 geared supports but only 1 is operating- Only one end will move- We experienced this once before several years ago and it was successfully repaired- If someone in the area can direct us to a qualified repair facility, we will be eternally grateful- DD

Try Apache Camping center 3 locations
Roca, Ne 402-423-3218

Bellevue, Ne 402-292-1455

Kerney, Ne 308-455-8200

Or all Jayco customer service 1-800-283-8267

You likely have a sheared bolt on the drive motor. You can get it in by gently pushing on the side that will not go in, while someone holds the 'IN" button down down. Will have to put a brace inside to keep it from coming out till you get to a dealer or maint. facility.

Differnt but same......
So I'm relocating my Grayhawk to N Las Vegas from Yucaipa, Ca. I make a call to the nearest authorized Jayco dealer (Johnny Walker Rv) , only to be told that as I didn't purchase my rig from them that they couldn't service my unit as they are booked up with their own units but could put me on their list of service openings if a spot opens. But that there are others ahead of me.

why even have warrienties if you can't even get service!

I would call Jayco customer service. I did once and was put in touch with a mobile service tech.

Donnie had the same thing happen to me last year. Took me pushing and wife pulling to get it in, but we did to make it home.

My reason was a wired pulled from the motor. That is a Schwintec slide and the motor access points are behind the white plates with 2 screws holding them about 3/4 of the way up on the inside.

Also see if you can locate the brains of the unit and read the codes to diagnos. There is an override button on that unit to retract if no wires are severed.

Sorry don't know of a service in your area, but I am sure a local CG must know a traveling tech service for sure.

I was not aware you had a Schwintek slide. Disregard my fix. You can read up on how to disable and manually push it in.
Mine has a blinking light that tells me why it's not working.

no business associated with jayco is willing or able to work in a traveler- it seems you must have purchased the unit from them to qualify for service- this is not a problem only with jayco as we had the same problem with a montana- finding an independent tech is very difficult as well- JMHO- DD

It was a sheared off bolt which was replaced at RV Service by T.O.LLC in Lincoln, Ne. The owner is knowledgable and efficient- We were back on the road in less than an hour- Off the road aways but doable- I would do business with him again- JMHO- DD

All I know is the mechanism is a 12 volt motor turning a shaft with a gear at each end which moves the notched square tube which is anchored to the slideout- The pin which connected the shaft to the gear sheared off so that end of the slide did not move- The tech replaced the pin with a stainless steel bolt- All is well now- JMHO- DD

Then it's not a Schwintec slide. The fix was what I described in my first post. Had the same thing happen last year. I fixed it myself quickly after figuring how it worked.
Mine had a grade 8 bolt, which I replaced with the same type.
