Very nice. I wish these were cheaper. Would be on top of upgrade list. Let me know how there perform.

I did mine myself and they made a world of difference in stopping power! I don’t think these big fivers should leave the factory without disc brakes imho.

You’re going to really appreciate your new found stopping power!

Would you call it a big job. I have re-built an engine before so I know I should be able to do it. It would probably take me a few weekends and convincing the wife to not camp for a while maybe hard. Hahaha.

Not hard to do at all. Took me a day to do by myself.

I think it’s about $2700.

I saved a grand by doing it myself

Had my kits for over a year now. Still trying to find time to install. Maybe this year. Bought my kits from Eastern Marine. At the time they were the cheapest and also had a sale. Also got the Hydrastar actuator there. $1126.00 shipped for 6K axles. Ordered nicopp brake tubing, SS stone guard, SS line nuts, SS p-clamps, US made timkin bearings and national seals from Amazon and Summit Racing. Once installed I will measure for the brake hoses and order DOT SS hoses which will lessen response time as there is no hose expansion. Going to run 1/4" tubing for faster response time. Biggest battle is where to mount the actuator. Still pondering on that. Want it close to the axles as possible for response time.

Cool disc brakes

I just had mine converted over. All in with the brakes and labor at a local shop

$3300.00. I had worn out a set of brakes and with the new drums the shop

wanted a $1000.00 for a complete brake job. Decided to use the $1000

towards a disc upgrade. Only have driven it home so far so no highway long

distance, but what a difference. Can actually feel the braking and can

actually stop the whole rig using the manual brake lever.

Best upgrade we have done. Not a visible return but wow what a comfort

level return.

One of the first thing I had put on and one of the best. Would not have a big 5th wheel without them.

You will be SO very happy

Had disc brakes put on ours when I had the suspension upgraded last year. Had to make a quick stop yesterday. With the original brakes it wouldn't have been pretty. Worth every penny.

The absolute best mod you can do is disc brakes. It’s not sexy but it’s worth every penny.
