Nice. I was worried I would need to make tight turns so I ordered the Reese Revolution pinbox. The one with the airbag. We had some chucking but honestly it was not to bad. I can still adjust the pressure for a smoother ride. Have only parked at my house so far a seemed to work well. I knew that some people are just careful like you are but this is my first 5th wheel so I did not want to risk it.

The other factor is that the moryde rubber pinbox does not fit my 5th wheel so the airbag pinbox was on the must have list. My wife hated riding in my mothers truck with the fifth wheel since it gets pushed around all the time by their 5th wheel.

Congrafs on the new rig. Ours is 37ft long. Tell the campgrnd 38 or 40. Don't tell them it is shorter or you get into more issues. We use a autoslider hitch and would not be with out it. When you pull in to a campgrd or make a turn take two full lanes otherwise you scrub trailer tire sidewalls not a good thing. Take your time. Use small movements on your steering wheel. 5th wheels are slow to start turning and fast to come around too far once in the turn. Again go slow use your mirrors and turn your head. Use the GOAL method. Get Out And Look. If you look yourself you see more. Look up down and all around. And most of all enjoy the trip as much as the campgrd. On the freeway going thru cities DON'T stay in right lane. Too many dummy drivers try to merge at 30mph.... You are jumping the brakes cursing getting upset. Use the middle lane.
Just our experience but so far no fenders or trailer crunches for us!

I used to tow with a dually and didn't turn it tight either as I don't like the way the trailer wheels look in the mirror when doing that

I have the Moryde pinbox and get chucking on certain roads. Vertical damping would be nice to have given the condition of the interstates

I definitely noticed vertical movement of the RV and it did not transfer to my truck. Seems like a good benefit also.

Have to ask, how much of this is just for conversation? When you pulled the trigger on a 40+ 5'er the visual alone would have clued you on any number of issues an owner will face pulling something that big. First it is common knowledge that CG's only have a relative few sites that can handle something that big. Fueling up, tight turns, low bridges, just to name a few.

Enjoy the new "bigger than most" RV. An adventure around every corner.

Thanks for all of the information.

Yes when we decided we were going to get such a big trailer, we knew we would be saying in primarily bigger rv resorts. We love them. We have no plans of trying to squeeze in anywhere We don’t mind that at all. The reason I asked the original question is that two which we enjoy going to both have very big pull through and back up spaces available yet they both say ‘40’ limit. We have seen bigger toy haulers in these parks and I know we can easily fit safely in the spots. I was really just asking if they actually measure or care.

Thanks for all the great comments!
