New Jayco

Hello everyone I’m upgrading from a TT to a Jayco North Point 382flrb. Just wondering what issues I can expect if any. Is the extended warranty worth purchasing? We’re excited to go pick it up and take it out camping. Just looking for pros and cons. Thank you!

Watch your ground clearance, trailer to bed rail clearances, and overhead clearances.
Our 17 375 has been a GREAT unit. I've done quite a few upgrades and IMO, disc brakes are a must!! As far as issues, our has been very minor and few. The new ones come with a bunch of hi tech stuff, probably not a bad idea to look into an extended warranty, depending on how "local" your purchasing dealer is. I have a dealer that is a bit closer than my purchasing one but I wouldnt let them work on a junkyard car. My purchasing dealer told me they have recently made it policy that they are only working on customer units purchased there.

Yeah I almost went with the Montana legacy because of disc brakes. They wouldn’t deal where I wanted to be and the NP has a few more upgrades that I hopefully like. Thanks man

We also looked seriously at the Montana Legacy. I asked the sales guy what he was asking. $119,000. Then I asked what he would take. $119,000. I apologized as we walked out for wasting his time. Looked at a NP 382FLRB the same day but she didn't like the dark with the whitewash interior. I'll keep the 371 awhile longer I reckon. You will have small issues that will arise as most brands do. If you're a fix-it type you'll figure it out make it right. If not the warranty/dealer is your friend. Our's had several birthmarks that were fixed by me or the dealer. (front cap) After that, none were repeated and no more have occurred. Yet.

Welcome...we bought the 382FLRB last September and are full timing...love it. The front living is awesome and the rear bath is HUGE.

A few minor issues here and there...biggest one was the front window developed a crack just sitting at the campground...my guess was stress fracture...anyway when they took the window off to replace under warranty, they discovered that some of the window "weather stripping" had not aligned with the sealant and thus would have devloped a leak later on down the line when we started traveling with it. Good Lord works in mysterious ways!!!

Most of the small things I am fixing as I go vs taking back to the dealer. Things like entrance door lock malfunctioned - went to Bauer directly. CO2 alarm malfuntioned...went to manufacturer directly. Water leak under kitchen island where the fresh water system hooks up...someone did not tighten the compression nut enough to compress the brass ferrule down so it leaked. Just a few minor things. From what I hear they all have small issues along the way.

Have fun it is a GREAT unit.

Extended Warranty is a MUST ! Over the last two RV’s we have owned the EW has more than paid for itself.

Huge Tip - shop around there are many packages out there but, be cautious of the dealer offered warranty
