New Jayco owner, new to this forum

My wife and I are considering purchasing a Jayco 317 RLOK 5th Wheel. We have been approved, and are just waiting for it to be prepped and sign the paperwork. Looking for any owners that can give me insight to the quality, and experience they have had with Jayco, and specifically this unit.
Thanks

We have a 317 and love it. Quality has been what I would expect from any manufacture, which means there has been a few issues but nothing major. Only mods so far have been to replace the flimsy shelves in the pantry with sturdy ones and took the cooktop out of the outdoor kitchen and replaced it with a drawer.

Welcome and enjoy from Texas Panhandle. Don’t have your unit but did purchase a new 2020 TT and so far no major issues

Welcome and congrats. You might want to make sure that the dealer checks the list of recalls/ Service Bulletins that might pertain to your rig. You would think that this would be obvious and automatic, but for us it was not. Curiously, the dates on the respective bulletins pre-dated our build date! Only one item was safety related (a change in fuses for the awning) and we had that done at a local Camping World. Other items were minor and still on our to-do list. We do have the sidewall crack issue but that is a another kettle of fish and will not necessarily affect you. It has not interrupted our life.

We live full-time and the few larger issues with the rig were mostly self-inflicted newbie mistakes. Our rig has made a nice home for us.

Hope to hear about your exploits!
Angus

Thanks for the feedback. We saw this 317 on one of our local rv dealers web sites, and immediately loved it. It' a 2020, and the price was right. Really looking forward to it.

We have had our 317 for almost 3 years and also love it. It has been back to the dealer numerous times for minor warranty repairs but our dealer always did a great job with the repairs. (North Trail RV Ft. Myers) Had a small roofing issue and they replaced it with a life time guarantee flex armor roof. Also had some fading on the front cap and they repainted it free of charge. After camping 14 years in our previous 5th wheel we knew exactly what we wanted and the 317 fit the bill perfectly. We love the floor plan and after spending two summers in it we wouldn't change a thing. I also changed out the outside grill and replaced it with a drawer. We are looking forward to many more enjoyable trips.

Welcome and congratulations!
We bought a 2020 Eagle 319 MLOK. Love it...only problem I had was with the Bm pro drawing down the battery. Hooked up a small solar trickle charge panel and its been great so far.

You probably are good, but do yourself a favor and check the yellow sticker in the driver's door. Safe travels.

Delivery Inspection

I recommend you stay in it for a couple of nights before you take official delivery. There should be a place to stay overnight at the dealer.

we have an older 2011 30.5 Eagle Super lite. It along with any other brand of RV had its problems. We have the RLS model and love the layout. We've experienced many problems with the interior finishing like valances pulling away from the walls, sagging cupboards above the rear window, and peeling finishes. Nothing too serious but I can tell you that you will have some problems no matter what you get. We love our road home and will continue to use it for many more years. Just a thought about extended warranty coverage. We got an 8 year extension at the time of purchase and it has paid for itself over the ensuing yeaars.
