New Member - Designer 31RLTS - Winterize Question

I read a feed that discussed winterizing by air. Seems pretty straight forward. Main water tank, grey tanks and black tank are all empty. Drained hot water heater. Opened low point drains and closed once water stopped running. Used 25 psi air and opened spigots starting with the upstairs sink, shower, toilet, kitchen and then outside shower. Cycled through twice and will do it again this upcoming weekend. I should run my pump briefly to ensure it is empty. Will put antifreeze in the sinks, shower and toilet. Are there any other bogeys that I am missing? Does the designer have a factory installed water filter anywhere? Anything I am missing?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you got it all. Check if you have a small inline water filter near the pump, it has a screen filter with a screw on cap. Not sure if you have the large inline water filter, should be info in your manual.

Welcome to the forum.

I think you got it all. If I'm wrong, I'm sure we'll hear about it.

Vic, you should have a large filter in the area of the water pump. I pull the filter out, drain the water, put back on, then winterize without a filter in it. Good luck.

You should put in antifreeze.
And turn every valve on the docking station.
The water will sit in the elbows if there is no antifreeze in them.
I blew an elbow the first year and the dealer told name it was because I didn’t turn the valves to let antifreeze in all parts of that spaghetti mess of tubing
