New Rv and New problem. Slide question.

Took delivery of my brand new Jayco Pinnacle 36kpts. Drove her home and stayed at 3 campsites. Last place the slide with the kitchen table and chairs stuck. I have been looking for hours for and answer. All I see it the slide with the fridge problems. That one works great. The other one seems to sound different and when you hit the switch it lifts on an angle then goes in. But is it getting bad now as tonight it did not go in until I hung from the inside top and son in law lifted from the outside.. And ideas? If I hold the switch it just continues to tilt and then bind up.

Thanks

Mine would do that sometimes, especially if cold out. The seals drag too much and cause the top to not slide in right.

When retracting stop as soon as you see it start to bind. Do not try to force it with the motors! Grab the top of the slide from the inside and pull down until it 'unsticks'. Then retract some more. On a really cold morning I had to 'unstick' mine three times to get it retracted.

Mine would never do it for the dealer so no adjustments were ever made to it. I just watched it. Adding some seal protectant helped a lot. Made the seals slippery and kept them flexible.

Problem solved. I looked at the inside top of slide as it was binding and found the seal was twisting as it went out. I found a couple of loose staples also. I then went outside on the roof and found a long additional seal that was half in and half out and twisting as the slide moved. I removed the seal and now the slide moves in and out fine. Just need to figure out how to reinstall it. next weekend project.
