New source of frustration

On our rig, I find that after towing at highway speeds on almost every trip, my roof mounted radio antenna has wrapped itself under the ladder at the back. I have tried adjusting the antenna angle but for some reason, it still finds a way to get under the ladder rail?

Not sure exactly how it's doing this, but would it be possible to stretch a wire or bungee cord across the ladder in some way to prevent the antenna from getting underneath ?

It's worth a try. Just have to be careful to step over it on the way down.

Make it something bright that you can see easily, so you don't trip on it. Like a hunting orange bungee.

I readjusted my antenna straight back to put the cover on the 5er and just left it that way.

Does the radio get better reception? Maybe it's a feature. Is the antenna loosening up. I noticed on our old trailer the antenna was loosing its spring but this shouldn't happen on a newer trailer. Add it to the repair or replace list while it's still under warranty.

Nothing is loose. After this leg of the trip, it did not do it. I think I must be hitting a low branch enough to slap it back. Still monitoring it.

I think that it's a squirrel. Since the antenna looks like a Jedi Light Sabre, maybe there was just a squirrel trying to grab it to join his friends?
