Thanks for the links on the 2 different hitch systems. Last night after I made the previous post i spent some time on YouTube and viewed both hitches. The only thing that I was unable to find were sliding versions of either hitches to go with the Ford 5th wheel prep package.

Thanks,

Nice truck, great color, crew cab, etc. BUT it has the wrong badge in front .

I saw your reasoning against Dodge / GM. I was the opposite at the time. GM hadn't updated their interior in 2010 and Ford seats just didn't fit right. Dodge had the biggest back seat and the best incentives (in 2010)

Ok so update on hitch shopping, went online to see where the closest B&W dealer was and found out they are 300kms away. Sent an email asking for a price and availability, got back a quote for a 18k Reese! I'm guessing that either they are no longer a dealer or it's not a stocked item and the Reese is. Had another dealer about the same distance that I am going to try.
Shook my head in disbelief! Maybe I wasn't specific enough when I asked for a B&W Companion hitch?

Nice truck. My dad is retired GM and my father in law run a ford dealer and I have owned both, that being said I love my '14 King Ranch 6.7.

Hey Quahog just a question for you, do you have any issues with the height of the truck box under the front of your trailer? Does the front of the trailer sit high when hitched?

Pete,

No issue with the clearance between the truck rails and the underside of the 5ver. This was not the case on my F150 that had higher rails. My trailer does sit slightly higher than I prefer on this truck but since I'm in the process of upgrading, I haven't done anything about it. I could go up some on the Mor/Ryde but it's been very stable tow-wise so I haven't bothered.

I want to mention that I have 17" wheels on the dually and not the 20" wheels like I had on my F250. That helps some but neither of the Super Dutys have had any clearance issues nor have they looked far off on the hitch height, etc.

Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss further.
