Newbie Here

Hey everyone,

I’m new to this forum. Just wanted to stop in and say hello! My family and I recently bought a 2020 Jayco Eagle 355MBQS. We have a 2012 Ram 3500 dually to pull this beast of a fifth wheel. I already have a couple issues and the father in law told me to post here as I’ll likely get some answers.

First issue at hand:

I have two awnings, the main awning light went out on our first trip. I have two separate switches powering the lights on the awnings. Checked for power and have power running to the LCI led strip but upon further inspection, I noticed one of the initial solder joints is burnt so I’m suspecting it has burnt out completely. I noticed it has to fit in the channel along the under side of the awning as well. Any suggestions on a replacement that might be brighter?

Second issue:

The entry side pass through storage door seems to have moisture/water built up somewhere inside of the door. Ran a hose over it/around it and cannot find where it could possibly be leaking into the door. The seal itself looks fine. The styrofoam and particle board is wet though. Any suggestions on where it could be coming in?

Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome from WA. I don't have any solutions for you but I know that half the problems is having to run down each problem. It could take hrs or it could take days but maybe someone will chime in who might know right off.

Nice setup.
