No bypass on shore power

Currently on shore power, no bypass on Xantrex display. I have proper ac in and dc out at the converter.

I tightened all cable to converter and the transfer switch, no change

Any advice?

Don

Check the voltage at the batteries. Is it above 12 to 13 VDC?

What coach do you have? Do you have a remote in coach and what inverter do you have?

We have a 2018 Eagle, 317RLOK. Remote says battery mode, usually indicates bypass when shore power is connected.
Have never had this issue in the past, batteries showing 13.4 vdc at the inverter input side, 119 vac out.

Try removing shore power, turning off coach power, turn off battery circuit breakers. Make sure inverter is off and remote is in off mode. 1) connect battery circuit breakers - if you have a solar panel it will now be connected electrically 2) Turn on coach power (red key usually) 3) Connect your 30 amp or 50 amp power plug to shore power and listen for the converter to activate. Small clunk sound (like a huge elec switch inside). If it does, turn on inverter remote (leave inverter off and control by remote) now wait, might take a minute or two for system to stabilize.

Well the rain stopped but no luck after following your post. Still no bypass when on shore power.

Same problem

Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same problem where the Xantrex says I am in battery mode even though I am plugged into shore power. But my battery voltage is also low - 11.1 right now. Microwave and a couple plugs are not working. Fridge had stopped working in the night but is on now. I have the Xantrax Freedom X inverter. The power button was out (standby mode) on both the control panel and the inverter itself. I have both pushed in now but honestly can't tell by the Xantrax Owners manual or the Pinnacle owners manual whether it should be in our out.

According to the manual, the button stays down for On and up for Off. But it also states that regardless of being turned off or on, shore power will pass through when the shore power is within normal operating range.

Have you verified that your shore power is good and within range?

I had a similar problem that was sourced to bad wiring on the camp ground pedestal. My surge protector, 50amp Power Watchdog, indicated that L2 and Neutral were reversed. Had the campground check the power on the pedestal and it showed the same. Moved to another site and everything came up fine. I ended up purchasing a power pedestal tester like they had and now use that before plugging in power anywhere.

Fixed for now

I also have a Power Watchdog but no error messages or problems there. But I did turn of the breaker at the 50Amp Service and restarting and now it shows I am using shore power.

I’m not sure what caused this but a restart seems to have fixed it for now.
