No Storage Room Either Side King Size Bed - Fixed

My wife and I just completed purchase of our new Pinnacle...love it. The only problem was with our king size bed that reduced the storage (nightstand in a regular bedroom) that was only 4 inches wide. Hardly enough to place various items like an iPad, iPhone, medicines, etc. My wife uses a CPAP Machine and no place for that. We solved this by installing a floating shelf over the bed with a small ledge on it. Works great. The narrow strip in one of the photos is what gets screwed to the wall and holds the shelf. We bought ours from The Pottery Barn Rustic Wood Shelf, 3', Mahogany stain Item #: 2128056

Good idea, with that I won't have to keep putting the remote control on top of the window valance.

Even though we are not ready for another TT for quite some time, we have been researching and have noticed anything with a king size bed, which we want, has the nightstand area deleted or tiny. You found a great solution to the problem !!

I love the idea, but how do you sit up in bed at night to read or work on the iPad or watch TV? I'm looking for a solution, too!
