Norcold Refrig Issue...Maybe..

Good Afternoon,

So I woke up this morning and noticed that most of my living room did not work as far as electrical. The seats, TV, Coffee Maker, and the fridge was working but on propane. The inverter, refer breaker was tripped and when I called Jayco Technical Support he took me through the steps and eventually we made it to the outside where he had me unplug the fridge and that solved the problem. Turned the breaker back on and now everything is up and running with the fridge unplugged. He told me that electrical issues are common with the Norcold fridge, even new ones.

Has anyone ever run into this issue and was it the fridge that was messed up? I am new to RV living so my first thought is I had to much stuff plugged in and it tripped the breaker. But I am not an electrian so I have no idea and I am kinda scared to plug the fridge back in being as I don't want to take a chance an blow something else. Or could this even happen if I unplug other stuff and plug the fridge in?

I know I sound like a newb cause I am..but dang this RV living is stressfull right now..

Any advice will be greatly appreciated...Thanks

Plug the fridge back in and see if it trips the breaker again. If it does the fridge power cord could be pinched/damaged. One of the heating elements could be shorted.
