North Point 340CKTS dinette slide floor question

I have a question for anyone else who has a North Point 340 CKTS. I am curious if the dinette slide has exposed exterior wood on floor for slideout. It seems like there is some trim that is positioned wrong on the exterior edges of the floor. It is painted black but not sealed or covered with trim. Has anyone else with this floor plan noticed the lack of coverage or is mine assembled wrong? I am going to try attaching pictures to show what I am seeing. We are on the road not near any dealership was going to seal the exterior floor edges but wanted to see if it was an engineering design or a mess up from the factory before proceeding. Thanks

Something is wrong. I don’t have the same model as you, but mine isn’t like that. Pretty sure no one’s is like that.
My 2009 Cedar Creek was like that though. It was one of the first ones built of that new model. After 3 years the mould under the carpet from the water soaking into the edge and traveling in ward was unreal.
Even though I was well out of warranty, Forest River repaired it completely, with no more exposed edge. There wasn’t many that left the factory like that before they realized they had messed that design up.
And because I had to drive it back to Indiana, they repaired everything that was broken whether I did it or it it wore out.
The guy incharge at that FR plant use to be a member here. Haven’t seen him post in a long time.
