I took it apart and put in short screws , pointy end out... Just so I could use it
Then I took it back to the dealer and added it to the list of deficiencies.
I never looked to see if they reversed the screws or put even shorter ones in or used a small nut and bolt.

I just couldn't believe it was actually done like that!
I was sort of hoping they would scold Jayco and get common sense to the factory floor.

It is very easy to take the unit out.. The 4 mounting screw heads on the outside of the unit turn a little pinching lock lever that presses against the wood panel.. Just a half turn in the correct direction and it will pop right out.
Then you can remove the long screws from the back side and do something different

My rig is at the dealer for a few weeks with some other items being worked on. I called them and passed on the info to have the technicians take a look at the screws.

Thanks again for the recommendation. It was right on the money!!!!

I had a look at other Northpoints at my dealer.. All of them have long screws poking out, except one had ONE short screw.

These are recent delivery units. That means almost everyone who has had a delivery should be having trouble putting the vac bag on.

That's pretty ridiculous. I think I will
give Jayco a call Monday morning and have a little chat with them.
