North Point backup camera question

I am in the process of preparing our 2016 Jayco North Point 311 RKTS for our first trip. It came with a factory (or dealer) installed rear view camera. This is a wireless model and is powered all the time. When I turned on the monitor I had a great picture. I then lost the picture and got a signal lost message. Although I was not hooked onto the trailer, my truck was positioned within two feet of the hitch. The brand of camera system is Voyager. Is anyone else having similar problems? It's almost as though the camera is too far from the monitor to pick up a consistent signal. Kind of frustrating.

We have had the exact problems and the exact camera that you have. I have a few posts on here but what we finally did was go to a Motorola radio dealer and they made me a 35' cable to move the antenna to the front of our rig. I tried it out and now works great giving 3 and 4 bars as we go down the road. I tried a 10' cable that Jayco supplied to correct the problem by the rig and my truck are too long so I bought the cable and Jayco covered the cost of the cable so that tells me that they know this is an issue! Here is a pic of my antenna on the roof and we used non-leveling grout.

Thanks, it's good to know that there is a fix. I'm making a list for my first trip of the year which will be to the dealership where I purchased it. I'd be happy to camp in their lot if necessary.
