North point inverter/fridge

I just bought a 2016 North Point 377rlbh. When traveling back from picking it up I put some food in the refrigerator hoping to use inverter to use the fridge. I pushed the inverter button on the inside and it showed it was converting the power to 13.6ish. The lights on the fridge never lit up and i assumed it was not working. I check the side of the inverter to see if the side gfi was blown and it didn't seem that it was. I just checked the battery and found one of them let go and has drained all the acid out on the deck. would this be the reason why it might not be working as its only drawing off of one battery and thats not enough to run the fridge? Thanks in advance for advice.

Did it work during the PDI? Is it unplugged?

IS the inverter unplugged? or the fridge? is there a light on the inverter that would show it working? the inverter button on the inside of unit lights up and shows how much the batters are 13.6 ect. but I am thinking it might have to do with the battery that has bulged and lost its acid
