Are propane regulators supposed to flow
One way?

I have the gen prep with two tanks on one side (with a auto changeover regulator between them) and a single tank (with single regulator) that Ts into the main trunk.

I had to fill my tanks and did the two first leaving the single attached. Then after reconnecting the two I took off the single to fill that one.

Propane was coming out of the hose ( getting past the single regulator) that attaches to the single tank. So the regulator on the single tank side is not one way.

Mine does the same thing. Didn't know if it had a problem or was made that way.

A non auto switching regulator will allow flow both ways.

Yours is working as designed. I had questions on this and our dealer confirmed you cannot use the system with the third tank disconnected. I didn’t ask about the other two but assumed it was the same way.

You could put a auto switch over regulator on it. Plug the one inlet. When tank is empty it will turn red. Switch the valve to the plugged side and you can remove the tank without gas flowing backwards.

The other two you can. That is one of the design features of the auto change-so you can disconnect one and get it filled while using he other. Just never had any experience with the single before.

That’s what I was thinking. I have to look at the connections and see what I have to do.
