Northpoint spews out water when water pump is on

2020 northpoint 375 bhfs.
In Arkansas currently not wanting to tie up a few days at a dealer.

I switch to dry camp mode in the nautilus.
But when I turn water pump on water spews out the inlet valve. ( Inlet valve being where I would normally attach garden hose for city water mode)

It seems like maybe a ball check valve is staying open?
Is there anything else that could cause this?

Check the screen inside the hose connection and see if you can pull it out and turn it around. This might help.

Don't ask me how I know.

Murff is correct. Either the screen at the inlet is turned around or the check valve is stuck in. Either way it's an easy fix.

Thanks. I'll check that out. Do I need to pull nautilus assembly out to turn the screen around or can I do it from the front? Today is travel day so I'll check it out tonight or tomorrow?

Thanks for confirming. Do you know of any videos that walk you through those fixes?

You can put a cap on it temporarily until you have time to look into it. That way you can use the pump and onboard water supply while traveling.

That was it. Brand new from dealership and they had the screen in backward. So it was pressing on the ball valve keeping it open. Easy fix. Pryed it out with a small screwdriver. turned it around and all is good. Thanks!

That is usually done so you can winterize easier. Many times the pump can't overcome the spring tension. They just forgot to flip it back.
