Hey Force, nice looking rig and nice looking mods as well. You must be a cabinet maker! Great looking drawers!

Tom, nice mod's. I've been toying with the idea of drawers under the dinette, it really needs them. Can you share more pics and construction of this setup.
BTW, the 'junk' drawer under the lower bunk is nice to. But I think you get more storage under the bed already. How much space is the drawer really taking away from this space.

Thanks,
Dave...

Hey Dave, yes happy to post the details. I think I'll start a clean 'mod' thread separate from this one and post it all there this week, along with everything else I have planned. I'll also cross link to yours and Spepi's and any other 29.5 mod pages that I can find.

That drawer under the rear bunk is what DW wanted for canned and dry food type storage, whereas under the dinette will be pots & pans and other misc. stuff. She's all of 5'1" and so the storage above the TV area is a little challenging for her to use.

Even with the drawer there is still quite a bit of space under the bunk. I think that area will be for things we don't use often like extra blankets.

Welcome! If you think it rides and tows great now, wait until you get it level. It'll pull even better.

We can't wait until our trip over the Memorial day weekend as well. Doing 4 nights in Colorado. We just had a backup camera installed and still testing it.

Although that does give me a couple weeks to get some mods started. DW already has me building 5 drawers lol

Ended up going with the dealer recommended Reese 16K Pro Series paired with the Revolution pin box. The trailer sits just a bit nose high, but after loading it up I think it will end up just about perfectly level. All hitch adjustments btw, didn't have to move the axles down to the lower shackle holes after all, and I still have about 6" of clearance to the bed rails.

This is my first 5th wheel and I gotta say, what a big difference pulling this compared to a TT! Backing up wasn't as tricky as I feared either.
Is your 29.5 a 2016 or 2017? I take delivery of my 29.5BHDS next Wednesday... it will be my first 5th. wheel also. Glad to hear they tow better than a TT... Any thing you learned that I should be on the "look-out" for?
Thanks,
Drake

2016. Hitching and unhitching takes a bit of practice, as far as best height of the pin relative to the hitch plate (should be about an inch lower so the hitch 'lifts' the pin into place as you back up into it). And opening the jaws isn't easy if there is any pressure on the pin when you go to unhitch.

Now that I've hitched up half a dozen times it is pretty easy.

Backing up is a bit different. Not harder, just the difference in pivot point changes the timing of when to turn the steering wheel a bit.

Nothing other than that. It really does tow considerably better then my last TT (which was 28 and 6500#)
