One Bathroom or Two?

Currently own a Jayco X213 TT and wanting to upgrade to a 5th wheel eventually so my wife and I can travel the country for a couple of years. It will just be the two of us, plus to medium sized dogs. I am trying to determine if there is any need for two bathrooms vs. just one. I would like your opinion on the matter. Thank you!

Having somewhat of the same dilemma. I guess my answer was no, as I don't expect to have many long term non-family guests. That said, the restroom will be before the bedroom, midships so to speak. I think it would also take up a good deal of room better used for something else. Just my thinking.

We have had both, and we have been full timers now ten years. Our first RV was a two bathroom. She had one and I had the other. We reserved longer stays then (2 wks) at a campground. The honey wagon was a gray water tote then. Now we have one bathroom. I often use a portable macerator into the tote in the back of the truck now. It works well. Additionally, we use less chemicals but whether one BR or two living the dream is what it's all about.

We are planning the same thing. It will me, my DW, me and 2 small dogs. We decided if it’s a one bathroom then it has to have two sinks, or we will look for a bath and a half. This way we won’t be fighting over sinks getting ready for the day or for bed.

If you don't mind the steps 1 bath is usually good, but if you start having knee issues the steps can be a pain, literally. If we were doing it over it would be a Front bath, w the 1/2 bath.

For what it’s worth, I tend to see the second bath downstairs when the master bath is at the front of the coach, and the master bedroom is in between. Idea is that your guests don’t have to walk through your bedroom to use the loo.

So make sure you like the mid master bedroom layout, too.

We decided on the bath and a half. The Eagle 336 FBOK has such and has an bunk/storgae area above it in the Master BR.
Also if you stop for a few a quick trip to the BR.

I wish they'd make a third option...

A back "bath" with just the shower, sink and a wardrobe.
Plus a front "BR" with just a toilet and sink.

That keeps the toilet accessible when traveling, and keeps guests out of the bedroom, with a single black tank... but also allows the larger "back bath" for shower and the morning routine... it also allows someone to stink up the BR, while keeping the shower room "clean and fresh". LOL.
