Only RV at the Campground

Got to camp even though everyone else is to smart. Its snowing and the outhouse electricity and water is all we got. State parks just 8 miles down the road so we can run home for a shower if we want. Going to stay till friday. Had to break the ol girl in. Peace!

Staying close to home is a good way to start.

Try this, too, if the wood isn't too wet... .

I feel for you and the weather you have to endure. Here in the west we're having a small heat wave. The Phoenix area is experiencing mid 80s, so we're taking advantage of it this weekend. By May, we'll be heading up to the mountains to stay cool..

That sounds great! The bride and I (almost 40 yrs ago) went tent camping in some cold (30deg) weather, had the CG to ourselves and loved every minute. No way I'd do that now - I've gotten waaaay to smart to lay on the ground.
Enjoy!

You need to get a panoramic picture of the only TT in the CG (with a camp fire going of course and a few chairs around it) post it here and frame it as a conversation piece, Better yet, get someone to take a picture of the both of you roasting a hot dog over the fire and a cold beer, in your tee shirt and shorts. Now that is hard-core camping. What a picture that would make..

hahaha!

We stopped at the Lottie Dell campground in Snowville, Utah for one night on our trip last week. The entire place covered in snow and needed 4WD to get the trailer into place just to hook up electric... 15 degrees at night. (we should've known what it would be like, given the name of the town!!!)

We, also, were the only ones there.

But it was a place to park and sleep and watch TV during the dark evening hours!!!

Cheers!

I smoked some ribs afew days ago when it was 20 outside. I dont let bad weather slow me down much. If you like smoking your own bbq it dont get no better than a webber smokey mountain smoker. I hope to do some contests down the road. Win or lose theres bound to be some good food and cold beer around.

Marion, IL.

No haven't been there. Only Rend Lake in IL, trips to work campground, and Florida.
Planning to do some camping this summer.
