Opinions on Reese Pro Series Hitch

I've ordered an Eagle HT 29.5 BHDS which should be delivered in June. I'll be pulling it with an 04 F350 diesel with 6.5 foot bed. Due to short bed having Reese Revolution 90 pin box installed. Dealer is recommending a Reese Pro Series 16000 hitch (#30856).

Tried researching the hitch online but can't find much info on this particular hitch. Would appreciate any feedback and suggestions. Thanks.

I don't know about the 16000 pro series , I used to use a 15k pro series. It was a good hitch. I would sometimes experience the "clunking" that seems to happen with 5th wheel sliders. The only reason I am not using it now is because we went to a larger trailer. I have upgraded to the reese 20k elite slider with the round tubes. I like it so far, except it weighs 190lbs. Good luck on your search.

I just purchased the 18k Elite Reese hitch to pull a Eagle HT 29.5 BHDS I know its overkill for the trailer but it does leave room for growth pn 30144

Interesting, but they've renamed my hitch as a "Titan". I've been very happy with it in combination with the Sidewinder. Nice that it comes apart into 2 pieces, and is pretty easy for one person to unload from the truck when needed.

OP. Do you have rails already in the truck? I have an 03 and an elite series head. I get no slap at all.

With a sidewinder I don't know if you need the slide rails or not.

My hitch: Fifth Wheel by Reese for 2003 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty - RP30081

No rails in my truck yet. Dealer agreed to include hitch in trailer price. They'll also be installing rails.

Being a blank template, I would do some research. If you are going to upgrade your TV in the near future consider that as well. Look at the B&W companion with a gooseneck flipover ball. Nice hitch and if my truck did not already have the rails I would have gone that route. Rails get in the way and always collect junk. Just my 2 cents.

Not a cheap option, but a good one.

I have this hitch and would never recommend it,too much chucking.Looking at others.
I went with this on dealer recommendation as I had a gooseneck adapter and had zero issues but I switched cause my new truck has higher sides that old TV and I couldn't see the ball to hook up.
I am torn between BW,Curt,& Andersen.
