Our Designer Back Home

Well we finally got our Designer home. We had some warrintee work done in November they ran into a parts problem. I guess I had too stuff added. I opted for the re-mote for the slides with the button over ride. That didn't work too good in Branson as we were stuck. Finally we got closed up and made it home. This time only one slide wouldn't open. So off to the dealer well that was before Thanksgiving. Well we're home and the remo works some 100 ft away Cool. We were very happy with the service too. I had the dealer winterize the unit, well I couldn't find a spot of the red stuff anywhere. I guess I should take a lesson on not being a Pig.

now that the remote is working correctly do you thing it's a good accessory.
WE just ordered a designer and did not opt for remote, wife said one more remote to keep track of and thought that someone could accidently move slides or jacks by leaning or sitting on the remote. I assume there is an on off switch to prevent that but I wasn't going to argue ,never had one so I shouldn't miss it. Just wondered if you thought it was great addition or just a nice convience.

Well yes and no, did I need it no but now that it's working good I like it. The remote works the legs, awning, the four slides and the porch light. I think time will tell if Jayco still keeps offering them. I like pushing the slides out while standing outside watching there travel.
I watched a guy smack a tree once there ways some damage to his unit.
What model Designer did you order? We like the floor plan in the 37 as we will semi fulltime soon. We are hoping to leave the Cold Chicago weather soon and head for Texas or Fla .

we ordered a 35rlts to be delivered early april
Talking about slides hitting things ,I once crushed a glass object that had fallen on the floor during travel and was behind wood trim on the slide. By the time I let go of the button the jar exploded and the trim was pulled loose from the slide a little. My wife now looks for obstructions in and out before moving slides either way
It's been suggested that I leave the slides alone.
