outside water

We have a 30.5 MLOK and the water fitting to attach a water hose leaks where the hose screws in. Is there any way to fix/replace this junk water connection. The other problem with this is the water leaks directly on to the shore power connection. Just waiting for it to burn down one of these days.

Have you tried replacing the water hose gasket?

Yes, replace the gasket but also I have found that doubling the gasket (two rather than one) makes a better and tighter seal and stops most of those annoying leaks.

I agree with the other responders that the first thing to do is replace the hose gasket to see if that solves your problem. However you could have a damaged water connection on your trailer and yes they can be replaced easily and inexpensively.

I will try two washers and see what happens. The part that was shown is not the water connection I am referring to, it is the one one directly above the electrical connection. the one shown I believe is for the black tank flush.

On my trailer, the city freshwater connection and the black tank flush connection are identical to the Amazon link I attached to my previous reply.

The black tank flush usually does not have a check valve in the water Inlet. They use a vacuum breaker which are very prone to failure. I replaced my black tank flush Inlet with a city water Inlet with a check valve and removed the vacuum breaker in the wall as a precaution.

try a new hose. the brass end can be slightly out of round and that will cause this problem.

I've had leaks on water inlets, seemed mostly because of awkward method of screwing on hose. I now spin a 90 degree brass elbow with a quick connect on it into the inlet then clip on the hose. Really easy and have had no problems with leaks or awkward hoses.

water hose connection

You can also try giving the threads 3 wraps of teflon tape. If that works, it's a pretty cheap fix. I always keep a roll of teflon tape in my RV tool kit. Sometimes there's a leak at the campground spigot and I hate to see drips or sprays of water.

I use a 90-degree ell on my water inlet and quality hose washers everywhere. Don't waste your time on cheap hose washers. These have worked very well for me for years. And they are made in the good old USA! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Those inlet water connections fail all of the time because they are plastic.
I keep a couple spares onboard and they are easy to repalce.
There is a female gasketed fitting on the pback that just unscrews (handtight)
I have tried the double gasket and sometimes that works nut if not change the fitting.
About 15-20 dollars
