Overload Shocks or Air Bags

Has anyone found it necessary to add air bags or heavy duty shocks while towing a Designer 35RLTS with a SRW Dodge 1ton?

II have a 35RLTS, is is very heavy for a SRW truck. I have the same exact truck as you, but a dually. I had air bags installed, it helped a bit. I put on MaxLoaders rear springs from tweetys.com. They sit under your factory springs, and when you put a load on the truck, they kick in. This made a night and day differenve. The truck now only drops about 1 1/2", and the ride is way better, feels much more controlled. I rarely use the air bags. Just my two cents....

I put air bags on mine, run about 20psi and it doesn't get on to the overloads anymore

I've run airbags on the past two trucks. On my current truck, it was not totally necessary. I run 20 to 30 psi in them. I find that it smooths the ride some. Especially when traveling down an interstate with the concrete expansion joints that run for miles.

Mine is completely stock. Might upgrade later. Need to install my power slot rotors and hawk pads sometime soon.

I just traded trucks. Traded a 2007 Tundra for a 2008 Siverado 2500 diesel. I haven't had a chance to pull the camper yet, but I assume I will be ok. I have a 27 foot Designer 5th wheel. Surely I will not need overloads for this application. Any ideas?
