pex plumbing

I have a leak in my rear toilet. The pex coming out of the floor was spliced to the hose that runs to the toilet. My leak is were they are spliced. I would like to insert a shark bite ball valve, I think it is 1/2 pipe. Can anyone confirm the size of the pex?

Thank you in advance.
