Picked up our new 5er

Well yesterday we finally picked up our new 357MDOK. The dealership was operating on a skeleton crew thanks to Covid-19, but we're trying to get previously sold units delivered. At our original inspection, we made a list with the salesman of all the problems we discovered, not a long list, but a few major things like the door frame for the mid den falling off. We were extremely displeased to find that none of the work was completed. I asked the salesman multiple times last week if it was repaired and ready and was told yes multiple times. So long story short, we spent the bulk of the day waiting for them to fix it. They did throw in a furrion backup camera as compensation so that made it a bit easier to swallow

Overall very happy with the way it tows compared to our 31qbds travel trailer. 30 mph winds on the way home at 70mph and you barely knew it was there. Superglide hitch works slick as well.

Our 3 year old could not be more excited and we basically had to carry her out of it kicking and screaming before bed last night. We plan to driveway camp this weekend though.

Congrats on the new rig!
You should have let her sleep in it last nite. At the rate things are going you'll be doing a lot of "camping" right there. Lol! I know we probably will be. Trips for us have already been cancelled.
Pulling a 5th is SO much better compared to a TT.
Enjoy!

Congrats on the new camper, pretty rig. I’ll play devils advocate and say “you tow that thing around at 70mph?” or you were just making a point of how smooth it pulled?

Same here, I’ve found myself over 70 mph if I’m not paying attention and making good time passing slow right lane people. Then I’ve got to get over, set the cruise, and chill. The roads are so terrible around here I need time to dodge craters on Interstate 65 and 70. Pulls too easy and smooth

Very nice! Congratulations on the 357MDOK! It's probably a good thing a rig that big won't fit in our driveway!

Not all of us! Lol!
I have a campfire pit in my back yard, and as soon as I get my disc brake conversion mod completed, I'm pulling my beast out in the driveway and "camp" there.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. We've spent most of the day playing around with all the systems and getting some stuff loaded into it. Everything is good so far, and wow the amount of storage in this thing is incredible. We always had to pack on the lighter side, especially with our 2 kids but just clothing space in here is awesome. My wife is excited to shop for more things to fill it with
