I went with RetraxONE MX Retractable... Locking cover, can be easily locked down wherever you want, doesn't take too much of the front of the bed. It is a pain to remove and reinstall though. Looks great too...

The RetraxONE is a slick (and expensive) unit. Unfortunately, last I checked, it wasn't available for an 8 foot bed. (Just checked, it still isn't)

They do offer the RetraxPRO (aluminum) for a long box starting at @ $2079.00

I didn’t realize this was my first post on this forum. I had a Jayco TT back then but switched to a couple Forest River products. Now back to a Jayco 5er. Thanks

The Ford Factory equivalent is the RetraxPro XR which has the accessory channels. The fit is awesome, as is the convenience of use.

Hard to complain about the cost of installing on a truck that cost for more than a house did a few years back, $2500 isn't all that bad.

Ain't that the truth. I paid more for my 2023 Denali then I did for my first 2 houses COMBINED.

Hi
Congrats! Love my 2022 F350. I also have the 8 ft bed and purchased the BAK REVOLVER X4S TONNEAU COVER and love it. Approx $1200, from Realtruck and they have free shipping. I installed it myself in about an hour.
I can finally see into the bed with the CHMSL camera. I couldn't with the trifold I previously had.
Very secure (aluminum), and easy to roll up, the rails have not interfered during turns.
Hope this helps.

We have the Extang trifold on our 2008 F450 long bed. Unfortunately, they no longer make the trifold for the long bed.

If I end up buying a F250, it’ll be a BAK X4. Payload isn’t going to be a problem, so the heaviness of the X4 wont be an issue. I had one for a F150 and loved it.

If I had another F150 and had payload concerns I’d buy a Extang Signature Trifecta. Also had one of those once; great for what it is.

We have had several Access covers on our company trucks and they have held up very well. They are the only cover we have found that work with a cross bed tool box. Also, they make covers for gravity wagons, grain buggies, and semis so they know how to build them.

I put a used BakFlip MX4 cover on my truck a couple years ago and I absolutely hate it. It's heavy as heck, it leaks like crazy, not impressed at all. I'd go with a cap but I carry canoes/kayaks on roof racks often. Might just go back to a cheap soft roll up velcro like I started out with.
