I would definitely make them put the factory hitch on. My 2018 377 has so much overhang behind the axles the higher up closer the the bumper the better. I'm actually looking at doing a lift adapter in the hitch before I put my folding rack on the back. The clearance on that hitch is important. With my factory hitch I have almost rubbed on the ground going in and out of parking lots. Yours I think you would hit the ground a lot. And my 5er is almost perfectly level when hooked up.
