Pin box

I just bought a 2000 30 ft. Jayco Designer, the king pin is straight down, not extended at all. I have pop up Gooseneck adapter with a 9" offset. My truck has 6 1/2 ft. bed. I don't tnk that will give me enough room. I thought above using a B&W 4" offset ball, will it work with the adapters?

We had a goose neck roll over in our TV when we bought it and took it out for the more conventional 5th wheel hitch.

Although the goose neck is fine we opted for something we were more comfortable with.

Please clarify...does the adapter bolt to the pin box or connect to the truck ball?

The offset ball replaces the original ball, it has a square shank.
