Pin to front cap distance ??

Anybody know of specs in the front cap clearance published by Jayco? I'm thinking about an Eagle Premier (351 RLTS) and wondering if a Ford SB will need a slider or the Revolution pin box for tight turns. Looking at the published dimensions for the pickup line there appears to be about 40" between the center of the rear axle (where the pin is also centered?) and the cab. The front cap of the Premier looks to have "sculptured" corners that may offer enough clearance. I expect the critical dimension will be from the pin to one of the front corners. I "think" I recall seeing this dimension someplace but can't seem to remember where (I'm suffering either from an excess of maturity or am youth challenged - take your pick).

Redhorse1, Your thoughts was the delima I went through prior to purchasing my 5er. I finally went with the Revolution. My thoughts were, With a slider, the weight of the trailer shifts at every turn from just in front of the rear axle to behind it. Didn't know if that would cause control issues. With the Revolution, the weight remains constant in front of the rear axle. Also, the Revolution has the option of being utilized like a regular pin if the revolution part is not needed. My final thought was. With the Revolution, I'm not concerned with cab clearance. It is there. No worries.

The bride and I went to the Houston RV show on Thu. Disappointed there were no Jayco 5ths on display but they had an Eagle 328RLTS which is a very similar floor plan to the 351RLTS. B&W had a booth which gave me a chance to look over their hitches. Of interest is a yet to be released version of the Companion OEM (Ford hitch prep) with a slider. Lady in the booth described it as a prototype.

Just go with the Reese Revolution and don't worry about clearance. I have an F150 with the 5'7" bed and have no clearance problems with my Sidewinder hitch and Reese 16K hitch.

I hear ya Ski. Our plan is to order new, doing that I'll spec the Revo. Just tryin to keep my head from exploding.

Great! That will keep you from paying for both the original pin box, the new Revolution, plus installation charges. I bought my fiver off the lot, bought the Sidewinder & hitch from the dealer and paid them to install both. My dealer was behind me all the way, if you catch my drift.
