I had a puddle of water in the bedroom that came from the wall separating the bathroom and the bedroom. The puddle of water came directly after using the shower. All the piping is tight under the trailer with no signs of a leak. I did notice there was Zero caulk at the base of the shower and the wall, so i decided to add some caulk to the shower. After that i heard a rumor that the base of the shower was not suppose to have caulk so the inside of the walls could breathe if there was ever condensation. Anyone ever heard of that or was caulking the base of the shower the right thing to do? Any help is appreciated.

Yes, that is what I have been told...especially at the top, but at the bottom, I don't see why not ... that little piece that meets the floor...I have done something similar since we removed the shower glass doors and put in a shower curtain...helps some with "water spillage"....however, once we unknowingly left the bathroom sink faucet up and, the sink stopper settled in the closed position,, ... so when we set up at the next site...I connected city water and turned the water on...the sink overflowed...when under the walls into the living room...but we caught it before too much leaked...dehydrated fairly we'll since we were in very dry location...so I added a small bead of clear silicon to the base of the bathroom walls, counter, etc...think that helped as it has been over a year now and do not see any residual damage that we can see.... (fingers crossed)
