You will not pickup satellite from the TV slot. That is only for cable and/or antenna. I would avoid splitters completely. The Wally hates them

Just turn the light off for the antenna booster that is on that plate while using Sat.
You will definitely need a HDMI cable from the Wally to the TV. That's how the signal is sent. And you need a coax connection from the Wally to the AUX/SAT connection. The existing HDMI cable runs from the TV to the Radio Receiver. You could disconnect it from the radio and connect it to the Wally. However, you will not be able to play DVD's.

I bought a 15 ft because I didn't think the cable that came with the Wally would be long enough to make the run and I like better cables then the ones they supply:

Got you. Just one more question. When you took the pantry back wall out. Did it come out just at top or did you have to empty all the shelves to remove back wall ?

If I recall, I just had to remove the top shelf and the back panel unscrews. I did have to remove the draws in the pantry to fish the cable down. There is not a panel behind the draws so you can see the wires.

You should be okay with 12 ft.

I ended up just ordering the one you sent me the Amazon link for. The 24 ft was $119 The 12 foot was $54 so I just ordered the Amazon one for $14 lol made sense. I was going to try and run the line tomorrow. But now will wait until Monday when dish and HDMI arrive. And save a lot of money. Lol

Thanks a lot. I have a beautiful picture. Snaked the 15ft cord threw the pantry just like you said. It was getting late so right now I I have the coax cable coming threw the window next to the emergency window. I am having 2 problems.

1) its hard to screw the coax cable into the connection outside. Ordered some quick connects. I will see how that works.

2) Got 2 legs on the tripod stand. The 3rd is hard to line up the holes sorry I bought that tripod stand. Should have just used a table.

Good to hear you got it figured out!! I use 90 degree quick connects because there is little room to turn those connections. I have the tripod stand for my Winegard Pathway X2 and do not have problems with it. I like the tripod stand with the individual adjustable legs so you can get it very level which is important in getting good reception. What satellite dish did you buy?

If it's new I would contact who you purchased it from and have them replace the tripod. Sounds like a manufacturing error.

I just got it threw. Had to tap the pin with a wrench once it was lined up. Thanks again.
