Probably not since each side is run independently in the floor or walls.
If you have the receiver and no wiring you have a cargo receiver and not a hitch. It is only designed for 300 lbs. The rigs that have a true hitch come pre-wired from the factory. That change was made in the last couple years as it is standard in 2022 with a 3,000 lb receiver and wiring.
So is there no way to do a proper towing setup if it wasn't factory installed?

Correct, the earlier years weren't designed for towing. 2022 was the first year for a 3,000 lb hitch and wiring, 2021 and older only had a 300# accessory receiver for bikes or cargo rack.

A friend of mine welded this one to the back of my travel trailer. I wired in the 4 pin from the junction box in the front and ran the wires to the back in plastic conduit. I tow a small fishing boat behind my camper and this hitch is rated for 300lbs tongue weight and 3000lbs towing. In addition to the welds, I drilled through the frame and bolted it as well. https://www.buyersproducts.com/produ...h-receiver-180

Is there a junction box, or somewhere else in the Pinnacle, where I can access the tail light wiring? The only junction box I've seen is the one with the wiring for the generator.
