Pinnacle Shower Door Mod

Hey Gang
I know that the strange sliding half door in the Pinnacle showers have been talked about. We had to make a modification after ours almost fell in off the tracks on Joan.
The problem was the steel rollers made of mild steel on the bottom of the doors. They always bothered me because of rust stains in the aluminum tracks. Well they rusted enough to create friction and cause one of the clipped on roller carriages to come off, dropping the glass enough to come out of the top track and tip free. Lucky that Joan was holding it.

I found these stainless steel ones.... https://tinyurl.com/y2fulv5y

Picture below is one of the new ones next to the old. They can only go on corners which is fine, and I secured them with Silicone adhesive. The rollers are smaller, dropping the glass by 2 mm, so I put one in the TOP right corner, roller-up of course. This keeps the door in the track more securely.

Another point of failure were the two metal clips on the top of the glass door that served to keep the door centered in the top track. They can come off, making the door wobbly. I re-applied them, again with Silicone, leaving them proud of the top by 2mm.

Only remaining concern is that while the new carriages passed the magnet test, the wheels did not, indicating a poorer grade of stainless (or chromed mild). A little time will tell and I'll let you know.

Next mod is to replace the glass with 5mm Lexan. Lighter, safer yet and should be quieter and not rumbling like thunder as the current heavy glass does.

Angus, apparently Jayco changed the shower door slide later on. Here are pictures of mine. It has no rollers but just slides on a nylon track both upper and lower. Slides very smoothly.

Speaking of doors, here is a mod to the bathroom pocket door, a $3 screen door handle from Lowes. Simple, but without it, it is difficult to pull the door out of the packet with squeezing two fingers in there...

dont know why it flips the photo sideways

I had those on my North Point. The shower in the Pinnacle is very large, about 30" wide and 60" long. See photo:

Shower 1/2 door sticks

The wall next to glass is swelled out and water makes it stick
Maybe water got behind panel making it swell
Still in warranty.
Also, that shower head spray is WEAK. The kitchen sprays 4 times further. Found and removed restrictor plate on wall valve end of hose. The ?Dorian? Head has a handy twist valve on bottom of handle and 3 positions I think, ... but it’s weeeeeeak
Any ideas?
Hey, don’t get me wrong She’s a beaut!
Thanks

We all like our Pinnacles but yeah it seems we all start in the bathroom.

We replaced the shower head with the Oxygenics model made for RV’s, as have many others. Big improvement.

Al found another shower head that he likes and I’m sure he’ll pipe up.

BTW, I’ve lately been using Aero Cosmetics WashWax All on the RV and truck (love it), and it works wonderfully on the shower glass to hold back water spots.

Yes, I purchased a YOO MEE shower head. It comes with a hose that is longer than what we had. In September, we were at a campground that had about 35 psi on their water. Taking a shower was ridiculous. Saw this shower head and decided to give it a try. Oh my oh my what a huge difference. I decided to go with the YOO MEE because it was less than the Oxygenics. The shower head that came with the Pinnacle was a joke.

Angus, I have a gallon jug of the Aero WashWax and haven't given it a try yet.....looks like I should
