You may wish to research a bit about plugging trailer tires. Some will tell you it's not a safe practice. YMMV

Is that for the older tires from 2015. I looked mine up and I know it was not that high. I did that on my trip out west and I would not run over 68. Unless I looked it up wrong.

Grumpy,
I know where the confusion came in LT vs ST designation on two different Goodyear websites. The commercial site is LT L rated 75 the other is 65.

The tire is a LT suitable for trailer use. Tire Size: LT235/85R16 Click on the back to tire details on the right of this link.

Did you have to change the rim? I believe the aluminum rims Jayco supplied with the pinnacle were only rated for 80psi max. The tires your suggesting need 110psi.

I had mine installed at the factory since they were an option at the time. However that 110 is max inflation and not what you have to put in the tire. Pressures should be adjusted for the load and that is why ROCK is looking for an inflation chart.

Grumpy,
I did the factory upgrade also after reading about all the failures. The Vantra T31 is actually load and speed rated higher than G614. When I had them mounted Discount Tire could not find a chart and they are told to always do trailer tires to max inflation. Since the Sailun tire had same load rating I used that until Hankook tech dept got back to me and it was the same. Funny that they said they needed the code of where it was made to figure it out.
Like you have always said if you do not scale you are clueless. Like my Dually sticker says 80 front 65 rear. After weighing I run 70 front 30-35 rear, towing 70 front 55 rear. Jayco has my pin weight at 2700 with Gen and fuel. Besides what you load I added washer drier combo. Pin is 4040 lbs. I was surprised at the pin weight I figured 3000-3200.

I bet this guy's two brothers, with the stick and brick trailers respectively, are opting for the Endurance tires with a higher weight rating.

Suggest running a ST vs. LT tire https://www.rvandplaya.com/lt-vs-st-...iler/#LT_Tires. After all these posts, staying with the stock Goodyear Endurance ST255/85R16E tire rated for 4080 lbs per tire. I have no problem replacing them early, if necessay.......cheap insurance and safety first.

In my case, Jayco installed all rims with a pressure rating of 110psi. I run my G614's at 90psi. The rating is stamped on the steel spare and inside the rim on the Aluminum rims.
I don't tow over 65 mph unless passing. I'm retired so go around!

So, I am just lurking on this thread and learning. Our pinnacle Endurance tires are great so far, under 7K miles, but taking note for future reference. If I eventually switch to those Goodyear tires you all like so much, will they work with my OEM rims? And, I am like Norty1, no rush to get there, and 65 is plenty fast, lol.

Look on your spare tire, somewhere there should be a stick on label showing the weight and max pressure. It will be either 80 or 110. If 80 you will have to purchase new rims to go up to a higher pressure rated tire.

How many lug nuts are on you current rims?

My spare is steel 80 psi and my factory upgrade was for G614. They only put the 110 psi rims on the FW spare is a China bomb.
Jet lag,
Look at your rim and see if it has a manufacturer name or psi stamped on it.
You can call Jayco or rim manufacturer. Rubber valve stems are only good for 80-85 psi. The other factor is your weight. You might only need 80 psi in a 110 psi tire to handle your weight.

I am presuming 80 psi is enough as that is what the camper came with from the factory.

Have you scaled your truck and FW. You have to weigh your FW to find the axle weights. It’s even better if you are ever at a Rv gathering where they place a scale under each RV wheel. Then take the weight and get the inflation weight chart for your tire. Do the same for your truck.

I have not weighed the truck/camper. probably should as you mentioned. Interestingly enough, the truck tires are also 80 psi, and I run them there when towing.

But the Goodyear G614 RST has a single tire max load of 3750 pounds, aren’t you overloading these tires with your Pinnacle?

yes most g rated tires are 4000# plus. This g614 rst is specifically designed for 5ers and tt's
