Pinnacle's residential fridge and the invertor question.

Ordered and waiting for the production date on my 36KPTS from Jayco. As I am sure you all know when you order these things your Life becomes all things Jayco! I love to hear the positive things about the Pinnacle's. So everyday I read and read and have funny thoughts pop up in my head. So todays question is this. I know the Res Fridge is run thru the inverter. Is there a way to bypass the inverter and just plug it in like in a home? I ask this because I will be full timing for a few years in one place and have full hookups. Thinking it is a way to save the inverter for when I finally get to travel. And that way is won't be a drain on the batteries.
Is anything else run off of the invertor? Or is it specifically for the Fridge?

Tick tock.... Another day closer! I am told 1st or second week of August. AWK!

When you are plugged into shore power, the inverter is bypassed. In my Pinnacle, when I go onto batteries (4) I have to manually turn on the inverter. If you aren't using batteries you won't be using the inverter.

I've heard the newer Pinnacles also have the TV on the inverter, but as mtdawg said when on shore power the inverter automatically switches over.

In my trailer, the refrigerator is the only thing on the inverter. The plug is located behind a drawer to the left of the fridge.

Like others have said...when on shore power, no need for the inverter (so make sure you turn it off). We only use the inverter when traveling.

My 2019 Northpoint the living room and bedroom TVs run off the inverter. I haven’t checked yet but wonder if there are some other outlets as well that are not hidden behind the TVs that are running.

Does it hurt to leave the inverter on when plugged in?

I was told that it won't hurt the inverter on when plugged in. I do it all the time when I'm just staying 1 night for some rest before driving on day 2. That way when I unplug....It's one less thing that I know I forget to push before trying to get on the road. When I get to our final destination I turn it off.

As danno said, no. It has a built in transfer switch and auto cooling fan.

I turned mine off the first time I camped in it but forgot to turn it back on before I left to come home and my frig was not so cool as you can imagine. It has not been off since then....

Fridge and Batteries

I had a dedicated 110V 30amp line run out to my Pinnacle 36FBTS. Built a 110 male to 50 amp female dogbone 15 feet long. Proper wire gauge was used. Checked by my electrician. We travel about every 2 weeks. This keeps the fridge running and the batteries charged!
