Afriend and former resident of Wyoming told me that I-80 was called the Snow-Chi-Min Trail back in the 60s. (You older guys will get this.) Weather will dictate your travels there.

One App I love is RVParky. Their website is here: www.rvparky.com

Great site for finding RV Parks and trip planning.

Here's a screen shot of a trip we made in 2017 from Seattle to Boston area.

RV Trip Wizard

I've used RV Trip Wizard for several trips now, including cross country, RI to Utah and back. It takes a little getting used to but I think well worth the $49, without it you are planning blind unless you are familiar with the route you want to take. We like to alter our routes to see more of the US so it allows you to drag the route to where you want to go and very importantly you can set the distance you want to travel each day with minimum, medium and max miles daily to help find where you want to stay.
We have friends who have been RVing for several years and know the routes they like so they don't use but after 3 years of RVing I still like using it, it truly helps me visualize the trip.
Good luck in NC. The Outer Banks (at the southern end) is worth seeing, northern end is pretty built up and touristy.

Thank you guys for your comments, and I might have to get the RV Trip Wizard for this trip.

The reason I map out those places is that I really don't want to go through Ill, I wanted to bypass that place.

Now this would be a good route, how I was looking at it was as I try to get to NC I wanted to continue going down.

I have used RVParky for all my trip over the last 5 years. I use it on my PC for planning and downloaded the app to my smartphone. Easy to use and very helpful. It is free and gives me what I need.
