Please explain the model numbering system!

I'm going nuts here trying to figure out the codes/numbering system that Jayco uses on their various models.

I've been able to figure out if it has BH in it, it has bunks (which don't interest me). But after that I'm lost. I'm reading posts and want to see the floor plans for some of the rigs that folks mention/list they own as I want to see if they interest me. (I'm still trying to figure out what I want to buy, much less like!)

I saw mention in one post about "dealer stock" and how you can't order that model with any different options. I had wondered what that meant when I saw it on the Jayco site.

I thought the first two numbers meant how long it is, but that doesn't seem to be true.

Why are some listed as "whole" numbers (such as Eagle Premier 331RKTS) and others as "decimal" numbers (such as Eagle HT 26.5RKS).

I'm wondering if figuring out these numbers will help with my decision making. At the least, I'll understand them a bit more (I hope).

Thanks!

Okay, I figured out some of the answers by finding (purely by accident) a "sticky" post in the admin section that lists what a lot of those stand for (as well as other abbreviations) and that really helped me figure out some of the others that aren't included on that list.

But, nothing is included about the numbers used, so still can't figure that out.

27 as in 27RLS means the trailer itself is about 27ft long, without the tongue, which adds about 3' meaning a total length of 30ft. RLS is rear living with single slide... BH is Bunk House etc..

Good Luck !

Thanks.

So, when you book a campsite, do you list your trailer's length as 27' or 30'?

Gawd, I have so much to learn!

D, Q or T in a model number is usually followed by an S. Referring to double slide, quadruple slide or triple slide respectively.

RE is generally Rear Entertainment

In our case REKS = Rear Entertainment Kitchen Slide

The decimal & additional numbers sometimes refer to 10ths of feet; sometimes, they're just there to differentiate between two models of similar length (or floor plan). My trailer is a 266RKS. Even though there's no decimal point, the "box" is roughly 26.6' long. RKS stands for Rear Kitchen w/Slide-out.

well ours is a 338 rets and I understood that 33 ft 8 inches was the actual living area length inside the camper and it is a triple slide rear entertainment... it is actually 39 foot overall length
