Pleated shades

I have an older 2007 Jayco Eagle fifth wheel. I forgot to lay a lamp down and it tipped while traveling and tore the shade on the big back window.
Can anyone suggest where I can purchase a new one? It is the pleated on tethered strings that you just push up or pull down. Thank you

I have heard of owners buying direct. Look on the shade for a company name. It's in the Middlebury area.

I was looking for blinds last year and just decided to fix my originals. I couldn't seem to find the exact measurement and color. And of course you have the 'custom' option but they're big $$.

If you want a bit of extra work you can order slightly bigger and cut down to size. You could even get residential ones and cut to fit. We did that with older RV's. Roman blackout shades on one and cheap venetian on another.

If you can’t find it on the InterWeb it doesn’t exist.

I would like to know if there is a way to adjust these things. I've got one shade that won't stay up.

If you mean the standard pleated trailer shades, then yes, they can be adjusted.

Yours appear to need more tension on the strings. Where the strings end at the bottom sides of the shades are spools that hold the strings. You can add more tension at either side of the blind by loosening a spool, pulling more string through, and re-tightening the spool.

Check the internet and you can probably find videos to show you how to do it that will be better than my explanation.

We replaced some of the shades in our older Montana we had with residential shades we ordered on the internet. A lot more reasonable and fit perfect.

Home Depot has off the shelf cellular shades that can be cut to width.
https://www.homedepot.com/s/home%252...0shades?NCNI-5
Find the closest wider and in length to replace the torn pleated shade.
You can get room darkening with a mylar lining inside the honeycomb that will control light and even give a little R value.
We have them in our TT and they work quite well.

I've even done minor adjustments just by wrapping the string around the spool a couple times...

When my strings kept breaking I said the heck with it. I've replaced the pleated shades on my large rear window and both windows on my large dining room slide with faux wood blinds special ordered from this place https://www.stevesblindsandwallpaper.com/ and they were fairly inexpensive. Less than $200 for all 3 large windows.
