Thumbs down Plumbing issue

Well spent several hours working on the sink drain. Ran 25 feet of snake down it x 3 and each time the same results, no drain into grey tank. Looks like I need to elevate this so we contacted the dealer. The first guy we spoke to was off so we talked to the next up. Nothing but bad news.

2 options:

1) Drop off our unit and they will diagnose (2-3 weeks), they will order parts (4-6 weeks), parts will be installed (2-4 weeks) total time without our unit, 8- 13 weeks. They do not do appts for warranty work!

2) Be willing to PAY $$ for the repairs and we can bring it up tomorrow...

Now I understand why Jayco gives a 2 year warranty, takes that long to get it in the shop...

While I am a good plumber I am not sure on this as it does not even drain down over 24+ hours and I hand fed the 25 feet of snake down the drain pipe and never met any resistance???? Yet the sink does not drain at all?

I am more than willing to fix it, but am at a loss on this. My selling dealer has no idea either. But at least they are shipping me a crate load of stuff that was broke/inop for me to install and covering the items under warranty. That is good of them IMO in fact great. So I will assume I really don't have a warranty and in most cases do or absorb the cost myself. I would do this with the plumbing but fear they would pad the bill with labor and new parts from piping to grey tanks. This could turn into $0000's in a heartbeat...

Is the tank valve opening? Many have cable connections and may be slipping on the valve shaft.

Yea the grey tank drains fine from the shower/bathroom sink, its the kitchen sink that has me baffled, it will not drain at all, nada, let the water sit in sink for 3 days and not go down a drop!!!!!

It was suggested that they hooked up the sink drain and did not knock out the port in the grey tank?????? But then my snake hand fed went the full 25ft in my 27.5 5iver?????????

WIFE is NOT a happy camper with a 5 gal bucket under the kitchen sink and maybe no fix till mid fall or even later.

Were I Jayco, any purchaser get #1 priority for warranty work in a 30 day window post purchase. But that is just me.

That makes no sense. Bet u have a full second gray tank and the snake is just curling up inside the tank.

X-2, some even have 3, with 65 gal capacity you have at least 2.

OK, now I'm confused.

I had a 26.5 RLS. I looked at the specs just now and it has 65 gal. of Gray water capacity (one of the reasons I bought it). If that means 2 Gray tanks does that mean I should have 3 dump valves?
The trailer is on the storage lot so I can't go look right now. We've only used it once but I didn't notice but 2 valves (black and gray). Are they "cross connected".
It DOES have 2 gray water level indicators on the panel - and one of them never reads. If I have 2 tanks should both indicators read? Or if they are cross connected is one indicator enough.

I may have a warranty issue to get that second level indicator working.

Maybe I'm off base, but if you have 2 separate grey water level indicators, there should be 3 valves, at least that is the configuration I have always seen. There may still only be one sewer hose connection though.

I just saw a video for a 27.5 LTS and it sure looks like there is a tank valve handle between the driver side wheels. Not a convienent location, but it's there.

Sometimes you have one connect midway on the rig for the shower/bathsink grey tank and the black tank. And another connection further back for the rear kitchen tank. I have no clue on this particular unit, but, I know others that have had a similar issue and that was the answer. They were only draining the mid tanks, not the rear tank.
Worth taking a look.

WOW, 2 grey tanks would make sense! Yep, hand fed the snake and never met resistance...so WHERE is the valve for it?????

Well T H A N K S to ALL on here you got me thinking. So first thing I did was do a walk around as the valves are marked. OK, Black and Grey, 2 valves, that is it! But as my Grey tank is dry since its in my driveway I opened it up and shined a light...yep, it goes straight to the grey tank...but...WHOA, what is that I see about ¼ down on the right (toward the rear of the fiver, that is CLEARLY a connection!!!!!

So I walk along toward the rear, no label, no valve!

Then I think, lets check the the board in the hallway. YEP shows 2 tanks, so I push the button to get a reading on Tank 1 = EMPTY, then I push 2, FULL!!! AHA there are TWO tanks on my unit!!!

Go back outside and look under the slide and yep, there is a valve. I pull and water GUSHES out the low point drain!

PROBLEM SOLVED and a THANKS to all here for you help, suggestions and just making me think.

Then I found this on line (not on Jayco):

2016 Eagle HT 27.5 RKDS (my exact unit)

Gray Water Tank (gals.): 32 - 1/2
Gray Water Tank (Secondary) (gals.): 32 - 1/2 -

See more at: 2016 Jayco Eagle HT 27.5RKDS

Talked with 3 Jayco Service people, none of them knew, dealer told me the 2 Grey tanks were only on the larger units not on the Eagle HT series.

The Grey tank for the kitchen sink is located on the left side almost all the way to the rear, if you have a slide its at the end of the slide left rear looking at the rear bumper.

Be happy to take pics tomorrow if anyone wants.
