Positive Jayco comments

I read all of the comments about the problems Jayco owners have and now I would like to hear some of the good things about our rigs. Forums are always a good place to vent your problems but let’s give this a try. I imagine this will open a huge “can of worms”.
Just to clarify a few things— I’m not an employee or representative of Jayco but simply a very satisfied owner of my 2nd Jayco fifth wheel. My first was a 1982 Jayco 29 footer that I kept for 15 years and enjoyed with my family, hunting, fishing and simply camping. My new 2018 Jayco Pinnacle FBTS is my retirement pride and joy.
We are in our 3rd week of a 6 week spring vacation to Florida, traveling from the frigid north. We have had NO issues with any function on the rig. Everything works exactly as it should. The only problems have occurred when the operator (me) didn’t read or ignored the instructions. All of this may change tomorrow and I’m sure I will have issues as the RV ages. I can’t comment about dealing with Jayco since I have had no problems.
Keep it positive, if possible, and have “Happy camping!”

Well I had my Jayco 7 years and it never went back to a dealer for service if that counts. The few minor issues that arose I fixed myself. Solid unit.

I don't think that many of us that have had positive experiences take the time to post about it often enough. Maybe it is a fear of putting a Jinx on ourselves talking about it. But not many come to an Internet forum when they don't have questions or problems that they are looking for a solution to.

With that said, we just did our 1st weekend of 2018. That makes almost 60 trouble free nights since we took delivery last May. Of course now that I said that out loud, I will go home to find the roof leaking, all the cabinet doors broken, and a colony of squirrels living in my fridge.

We're on our 3rd Jayco that we bought new. A pup in '93, a Kiwi 17a hybrid in '03, and our current trailer in '13. All have been solid relatively trouble free trailers. No complaints really.

We have had good luck with our coach. As I recently posted there have been a couple of leveling system issues (factory induced) but I think I may have resolved that now. The only other issue is our fridge - the freezer doesn't know when to stop cooling. I will fix that one way or the other.

All-in-all it's a good solid unit, we are happy with it and have had a lot of fun in it.

My 2015 Eagle HT several issues, but I now have a 2017 Eagle and the only issue to date was a dimmer switch over the kitchen table that would not shut off. Replaced it with a toggle switch and all is good. Very happy with this trailer.

I will be happy to chime in on solid unit. This is my third new Jayco with no issues.
Prior to that 2 Jayco Popup purchased used that served very well.

I have been pretty happy with mine.
You will not confuse any travel trailer and the word "quality", they simply don't go together.
The one major issue I had with mine was a bubble in the front wall.
Jayco authorized a 3rd party repair service and shipped a new front wall, no questions asked.
I think people who don't/can't take care of the minor stuff, are less satisfied than those of use who do.

X2 and I'm going on 5 years as the 2nd owner and it's a 2010.
In those 5 years I have around 400 days of camping and around 35,000 miles.

Mine is a 2011, bought new from my local dealer at the beginning of the new year. 2012. It sat on the dealers lot for 6 months and was used mostly as a show model.

We got it at a deep discount and the 2 year warranty started when we purchased it.

This is our 3rd fifth wheel and 2nd new one. I compare the quality of my rig equal to the last new one.

Minor problems that were not minor at the time but the dealer, Jayco and Dexter made them good with minimum inconvenience on my part.

I do any repairs I can do, but mostly my work in it has been mods. We use it a lot and I estimate in 6 years of ownership, we have camped approximately 750 nights.

X2 on the comment above. OR the ones that don't do a thorough PDI or no PDI, then get some surprises that could have been resolved upfront. Doing what you can upfront can make your life a lot more enjoyable in the RV world.

We are a Happy 1st time Jayco buyer. When I purchased our HTT, I expected a few issues, as they are hand build. When necessary the dealer was very good about getting us in right away and fixing everything up.

We have had nothing I would consider a major issue, but had several minor things over the two years. Most of them, I could have dealt with, and some I did.

We probably use it 30-50 nights each year!

I just wish Jayco made a small 5ver with my basic floor plan.

I do not comment often on the forum, but felt compelled to do so for this thread. I agree that Q&A on every FW produced is not the same nor can it be. That said, Jayco comes close IMHO. I find that it requires a dual affect however; 1) the manufacture, 2) the dealership. I may have found a Unicorn in regard to Dealership. Yes, I have had issues with my 3 FW's and have engaged both the Dealership and Jayco to resolve the issues. The one thing that stands out to me is the support after the sale. I have never questioned what my Dealership ask/told Jayco in order to fix the issues that were to large for the dealership to fix, it just got done. Time to correct the issue was the only dis-pleasing thing. I have purchased exclusively Jayco RV's and from Willie's RV, in Bloomer, WI. As I said, they may be the Unicorn we have been looking for. Gray C, thx for starting this thread. Skidawg

My wife, two of our young kids, and I have three trips under our belts in the x23b. Couldn't be happier with our new HTT. Great layout, quality components in the stove, fridge, and other items. Compared to our previous TT, it seems like night and day. Sales and service have been good. We are heading out again in a few days, and can't wait. Good job Jayco!

I'm plenty happy with my 2016 Jayflight 28rls.
Warranty just expired last month. Replaced the propane regulator/switchover valve.
That's been it. I've pretty much full timed since I got it.
Maybe it sat in the driveway 4 months all total.

We bought out 2015 White Hawk 20MRB 3 years ago this month. I hate dwelling on any negatives so I will only state the poisitives:

All issues were fixed in a timely manner under warranty by the selling dealer. The white Hawk does sit for extended periods but, so far, has been from Seattle, to Ohio and back, to Las Cruces NM and back and to Massachussettes and back.

A soft floor issue was fixed under warranty after the unit was 6 out of warranty. Not only fixed but Jayco supplied all new flooring for the rig. Our 2015 is now "custom" with a 2017 fllor covering.

Accolades to the dealer that has provided superior service after the sale, Blade RV in Mt. Vernon WA.

As I've posted before the only issues we've had with 2 motorhomes (100,000 miles combined) and our 2015 PINNACLE FW (approx 20,000 miles and over 12 months of actual occupancy) were primarily vendor issues. Norcold, Carefree and Coleman. Only JAYCO issue was a fiberglass crack that they fixed at factory. They set up an appointment as soon as they were notified.
