Possible structural issue

Has anyone seen the least bit of deflection in the material covering the underside of the upstairs while either hooking or unhooking your fiver?

Thanks

Not sure I understand the question, could you post a picture of the "deflection?"

You will always get a small amount of deflection in the goose neck. Just like an airplane wing or bridge it will move a little.

There is always a little flex when putting weight on or taking it off of the hitch pin. Not uncommon to hear a little creaking and groaning when that is happening. Like Grumpy indicated, it has to move some.

Yes it flexes a little when I connect or disconnect.

When you all say it that way, it makes complete sense. I guess I'm just a little anxious. Other than our grandchildren, "Big Bird" is the DW's and mine pride and joy.
Thanks to all of you for your input!
