Potential North Point 377RLBH Purchase

Hello All,
I'm new to the forum. My wife and I are looking at various BH models and the 377RLBH is in our top 3. I've been reading some issues related to the 2016 and the associated upgrades that Jayco has made for the 2017 Model Year. Are there any must have options I should consider and I'm also looking for hitch recommendations for my 2500 Ram (Low as possible) Thanks and I look forward to interacting on this site.

We researched floor plans for several months and picked the 377RLBH. I just picked it up from the dealership and took it to storage yesterday, so I can't give you any good advice on camping in it just yet. But my wife and I both love our trailer. It had all of the features we both wanted. The hitch we got is a B&W Patriot 18k slider. There are several threads on the 377 that I would recommend browsing.

We tow ours with my 2500 with air bags...you will be over on your payload. But we haven't had any issues with towing...I just want the peace of mind. When it's feasible to upgrade, do so. I tried to work a couple of deals this month for a 3500, but ended up walking away from all 3.

The 377 has been perfect for our family. The furthest we've towed is from N. TX to Santa Rosa, FL without any issues. We have 2 girls (11 & 8) and have even brought the in-laws with us on several trips. We've had some issues with our unit, but nothing that I haven't been able to fix or have completed under warranty. Having said that, we are still quit happy with our choice.

Ask away...everyone on this forum has been great and extremely helpful!
Happy Camping!

We have a different North Point floorplan on order. One item that was a must in our eyes were the upgraded tires and rims. We also opted not to get a 2016 because the 2017 has a 12" I beam instead of a 10". We also looked at some units on the lot that had the Sanicon system - boy was it low to the ground. Good luck.

We've had our 377 for about a year now. We still love it. I would suggest upgraded tires first. We live in Texas so the heat pump option works great for us.

Welcome to the forum wvpilot! Have fun shopping for your new Jayco. We don't have a fifth wheel but I would recommend getting any A/C upgrade available. If you can get a 2nd A/C, you will appreciate that too on those hot, hot days.

Thanks for the intel! I plan on adding airbags (something i have done on all my trucks over the years) I also upgraded tires on the 2500 to 305/70R 18 Nitto Dura Grappler they are taller, wider, and have a higher load capacity 3,750 #'s. Which airbag set up did you go with? I'm looking at the firestone's currently. Thanks!

Hey Greg, always good to run into another pilot. I'm flying a new Pilatus PC-12 out of CKB, spent the last three years flying a bunch of King Air's and a Astra jet out of MGW, MRB was like my second home!

I'm all done with flying for pay. Retired from Mil/Comm flying a few years ago. Now I just have fun running around in my C172. We rented a Class C RV and went to Oshkosh this past summer. Got us the RV bug and purchased our new rig. Jayco 28RLS. Best of luck to you. Let me know if you stop in at MRB sometime.

Greg.

I've got the Firestone ride rights. They're fantastic. I ran the lines to the rear and just fill up to 55 psi, before hooking up. My tire choices are very limited...I made the mistake of getting the 20" rims.
