Power Cord Reel Problem

The power cord reel motor runs but will not retract. The extend function works.
Has anyone experienced this problem?

The motor is running so the switch is good. It doesn't engage. Is there a gear or belt, maybe?

One of the many issues I had with my pinnacle. They replaced the switch with a heavier one. Still not perfect, but much better.

they had to install a new unit in mine, it quit just like yours

I had wanted the auto reel so I would not have to deal with a 50 amp power cord. Well that did not work so well. I think the 50 ft of cord is too much for the space and way too much for the motor. I cut off 20 feet, made an extension cord out of it and the remaining 30 foot on the reel now works
the way it was intended. and the space is now big enough.

Did you ever find out the issue. My reel is doing the same thing except it will not extend or retract. I thought I read somewhere you can buy new gears but cannot find.
