Power inverter

I just purchased a new 2022 Jayco Eagle HT 24RE. I am currently camping and hooked up to shore power. I noticed on my first night that the power inverter was not charging the battery(only showing 7V). Now that the sun came out it looks like the solar panels are charging the battery because it is steadily climbing. Does anyone know if their is switch or have an idea why shore power would not be charging the battery?

If you only had 7 volts on the battery it is probaly shot, could have been bad from the beginning.

A car battery is dead if its voltage is anything between 11.75 and 11.89 volts. Any reading between that range means that the battery is no longer functioning and a car owner should consider a replacement.

Generally-

Power INVERTER only supplies 120VAC and runs off of 12v batteries.
Power CONVERTER charges 12V batteries.
There are combo units that do both, not sure of your equipment.

So, check your breaker for your converter and verify it is on and it has 120V to charge the 12v battery.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR 24 RE!
I have a 2021 for 11 months now and love it. No issues to date so contact me if you have any questions.
