Power Question

I'v got a new 2020 355MBQS and have only used it a couple of time. its in the front of the house now, ready to go in the morning. I've got it hooked up to a standard extension cord, just to charge the batteries and let the fridge cool down. I was going to use the ice maker, but can't seem to get the water to the fridge. This is one of the island units that uses a 5 gallon container for dedicated drinking water and for the ice maker / fridge water.

The power button for the pump doesn't work, and upon some trouble shooting found that the GFCI outlet and the "tower" outlet on the island don't have power. the circuit breaker is fine, not tripped. I'm guessing that the inverter won't run those outlets, but not sure.

Does anyone know for sure? I'd hate to get to the beach tomorrow and still have this issue on shore power.

If you have a reducer plug from 50 to 15 A it may only be powering one leg of the 50A service, and the circuits you mentioned may not be on the powered leg.

I have a 50A to 15A adapter and I'm 95% sure that all circuits are powered. To answer your question inverter should only power fridge and possibly another outlet (not sure which one).

If it's the GFI that popped, have you checked around to see what other outlets don't work? Many times, kitchen GFI are tied into bathroom GFI outlets. See if that one works and see if there is a reset button on it.

GFI doesn’t appear to be the issue. It won’t “pop” or reset. Doesn’t seem to have any power to it at all.

50/15 dog bones transition 120 volts down both legs of the service.

Check for GFI on the inverter. All gfi outlets must have power to reset.
