Question Power shut off for rear mounted camera

I have seen a few postings concerning a switch to turn off the factory mounted rear camera and have yet to find the location for mine. I have a 2107 28KPTS Pinnacle. I am looking for it because my overall power usage sitting at the campground with just the refrigerator on is excessive from my point of view. I am therefore looking to reduce the load as much as possible so if someone knows how to shut the camera off I would appreciate the help.

My 2017 Eagle 293RKDS has the switch inside the docking station on the side.

Thanks for responses but I have checked both those locations and could not find anything resembling a switch.

Mine isn't easy to see. It's a black rocker switch. It's inside on the side of the docking station. It's not in plain sight.

Mine has no switch and cannot find its power source. The camera manufacturer says constant power will shorten its life. When my unit is up at the factory for repairs this is on my list of repairs. My same unit same year some have it some do not.

I wonder if that is why I cannot find the switch in mine. Hard to understand why they would not all be built alike.

I have a 2016 Pinnacle. Took delivery in May but it was built last November. No switch. Camera is on all the time. They told me on PDI that is was on all the time. I have double checked docking area and battery location. If I can identify the wiring I will install a switch before winter. If any of you can give me some help on the wiring it would be appreciated.

I have a 2018 HT 27.5 RKDS and there is no switch. My camera power hookup is tied to the rear marker lights. As we don’t use it for security, this is not an issue. It works when our TV is hooked up and our lights are on.

I was going to cut the hot lead at the camera and splice in a quick disconnect plug. It is definitely wired hot. I pulled ever 12v fuse and it stayed powered being plugged into the 12v socket at my bedroom dresser. So camera and that socket must both be wired hot and maybe together. It is a nice feature but I do not lv the screen plugged in to monitor security.
